my account was deleted

I was changing some settings for a member group and my forum suddenly decides it is going to delete my account from the database. luckily I had an earlier backup which i could use to get the recent info for my account.

I think there should be a way to recover your posts so that they are not just posted by "guests" after you have deleted your account and if you make a new account.

Indeed there is a way - you can run a query which assigns the guest posts to the (new) member again. It is posted somewhere in the forums here, let us search for the link to this thread.
