I tested this on a fresh install a while ago and its also happening on the fresh install of SMF 2.0 RC1.1. All my sites are the same way. Well we at least know where secure from having that fake avatar uploaded.
No Pm's for support please!

I've uploaded the 2.0 RC1 's Profile-Modify.php(Sourcedir) and do the upgrade editions manually,it worked on my site.

Any idea how this problem can be solved?

Use an ftp program and upload the file provided to Sources/Profile-Modify.php
