Charset Problem

Hi,

I'm doing some test in order to convert my IPB 2.3.6 forum in SMF 1.1.9.
I have resolve the several  problem of conversation, like the visualizzation of board, avatar, but i don't succedeed to resolve the problems of codifies of the characters. The special characters, ( like à,è,é,ò etc ), are visualized with this symbol  "Ã ". The SMF Database and Data are in UTF-8, IPB are UTF-8 and during the conversion, i've selected UTF-8.

What can i do for resolve this problem?? Thanks.

Same problem, btw do you use html in the posts of your IPB forum?

Are you using the UTF-8 equivalent language files in SMF?
