Errors After New Language Installed (mods)

Okay, I have my board running nicely in English, it has a few mods.

Then I found the Japanese basic language files made by Logue and set them up, they work okay but are not complete.

Now I have found many errors being generated by users who have changed their language selection to Japanese.

My investigation thus far makes me realise that I don't have any Japanese text items for the modifications already installed. (in the file \Themes\default\languages\Modifications._language.php)

I want to make a quick fix because I don't have time to translate the modification file right now.  If I just copy and rename file Modifications.english.php file as Modifications.japanese.php file, will this be sufficient?  I realise that this will display English for the modded components of the board but this is better than all the errors I am getting right now.

I don't have access to my test board now so I have to carry out this on the final board and I really don't want to break it.

Yes, if all lang modifications are in that file.
