Here's my in-progress list of requested mods. I am not including threads from Mod Requests that are for core functionality in SMF, nor for support requests.



Activation Reminder - Not in development. See threads: 1
To send out reminders to people who have not approved their account after a set number of days. (For 2.x would become a Scheduled Task)

Add a Link to Website - Not in development. See threads: 1
Add a link from the header bar back to a parent website. Thread contains notes on implementation, plus a related mod that can achieve this.

Admin Auto Post after First Reply - Not in development. See threads: 1
To automatically reply to a person after their first post, thanking them for joining the community. Additionally should be board specific.

Admissions system - Not in development. See threads: 1
To add a system where users can request to be in a given group (or event or project) and once spaces are filled, they are no longer able to join.

Age and Gender Filter (2.0 compatible) - Not in development. See threads: 1
Restrict access to boards based on age and/or gender. There is a 1.1 compatible mod, but no 2.0 mod as yet.

AJAX Tabs - In development. See threads: 1
To make tabs load in the current page without a full page reload.

Always Online - Not in development. See threads: 1
To make it so a user appears to be always online.

Attachment View from Topic Index - Not in development. See threads: 1
For a post with attachments, would provide an icon in the topic index, that when clicked gives you a pop-up listing all the attachments to that topic/thread.

Automatic Ban on Censored Words - Not in development. See threads: 1
Users who post with censored words should be automatically banned, to help prevent spammers.

Automatic Lock Thread on Post - Not in development. See threads: 1
Provide a feature whereby posts cannot be replied to in a board but the board can have posts from any member. As noted, local board permissions should be able to manage this.

Automatic Reminder to inactive users - various mods. See threads: 1
Automatically send out reminder to emails to inactive users.



Ban Button - Not in development. See threads: 1 2
Put a 'ban this user' button by the 'Quote', 'Modify' etc options in a given post. Could optionally have a quick list of durations.

Ban for Bad Spelling - Not in development. See threads: 1
Ban users if they spell incorrectly for their first few posts.

Banlist (2.0 compatible) - Not in development. See threads: 1
A list of banned users available to regular users (not just in the admin panel). There is a 1.1.x mod available already.

BBcode Hide tag - already available. See threads: 1
To hide content from guests whilst showing them to regular members.

Better Stats for Admins - Not in development. See threads: 1
Better stats for admins to show where hits come from, including spiders. Discussion links to a mod that displays known spiders, and the closing suggestion is to use Google Analytics.

Block Users from Specific Threads - Not in development. See threads: 1
To allow moderators to enforce users to break a given discussion. As noted in the thread, it is possible to set permissions on a given board and restrict users that way, but no mod for thread-specific permissions.



Calendar Event Attendence / RSVP - Not in development. See threads: 1 2 3

For users to be able to mark whether they can attend events on the forum calendar. Additionally to have a 'yes/no/maybe' list of attendees.

Calendar Event Directions - Not in development. See threads: 1
To be able to link up loki.com's position finder, with the destination of the event and provide directions to users.

Would force thread titles to UseCamelCase instead of anything else. Not as a mod however there are notes in the thread on implementation.

Casino / Bookmaker - In development. See threads: 1 2 3
To allow users to bet against each other, or against external events.

Changing the Topic Icon (from Topic Index, for 1.x) - Not in development for 1.x (core in 2.0). See threads: 1
To enable a moderator to pick the icon for a thread without going into the thread. Thread notes this is core 2.0 functionality but not in 1.1.x.

Chess Mod - Not in development - See threads: 1
Allows user to display chess boards and even play chess in the browser.

Child Boards as filters - Not in development - See threads: 1
Have posts in child posts mirrored in parent boards, so that a child board is a filter on the parent. E.g. a board called Fruit with sub-boards Apple and Orange - posts on Apple appear in Apple and Fruit, posts on Orange appear in Orange and Fruit.

Child Topics - Not in development. See threads: 1
A mod designed to create a second topic for discussion, so that the original topic can remain untouched.

Classified (free) - Paid implementation. See threads: 1
Ability for a classified listing site.

Clubs - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to manage clubs, club galleries and more from within SMF.

Colour Guide - Not in development. See threads: 1
Provide a colour map to show hex codes for the different colours.

Copy Protection - Not in development. See threads: 1
Provide a method for preventing copying of posts for whatever reason. Conclusion from the thread was that this is not possible without damaging search engine rankings.

Credit System - Not in development. See threads: 1
A system whereby posting confers credits on a user, which can be spent in an in-forum store of some kind.

Cross-Reference Posts - Not in development. See threads: 1
Allow users to cross-reference posts and threads using straight forward links.

Custom Profile Field - Not in development. See threads: 1
A mod requested for both 1.x and 2.x that is a huge upgrade to 2.0's Custom Profile options, allowing BBcode to be used to specify user-specific profile options.



Database Mod - Not in development. See threads: 1
Allow multiple data items in custom fields, and display them in a tabular format.

Deactivate Account - Not in development. See threads: 1
For accounts that haven't posted in x days, deactivate the account and re-require activation in some form.

Default Icon for Threads - Not in development. See threads: 1
An option to configure the default icon for threads. Noted in the discussion how it can be done without a mod.

Disabling duplicate accounts - Not in development. See threads: 1
Thoughts on disabling duplicate accounts. Much like the duplicate IP checker.

Download quota - submitted for 1.1.9, awaiting approval. See threads: 1
For a per day limit on users downloads of attachments.

Drawing Gadget - Not in development. See threads: 1
Add a widget that can be embedded for people to draw on, and save the results.

Duplicate content prevention - Not in development. See threads: 1
To prevent duplication content being posted; mostly concerning duplicated links being reposted in the forum.

Duplicate IP checker - Not in development. See threads: 1 2
For checking for members with duplicate IP addresses



EVE Online integration - In development. See threads: 1
To integrate various aspects of EVE Online into an SMF forum. The linked code doesn't seem to be in line with 2.0RC1-1, however an updated version is being developed.

Event Types - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to classify different items in the calendar as different things, not just Events.



Facebook style chat box - Not in development. See threads: 1 2
A chat pane between individual users, that pops up from a tab bar on the screen.

Featured Topic - Not in development. See threads: 1
A method for an admin to highlight a topic as a featured topic, either for pushing to an SSI-driven site or something else.

Final Fantasy IX Online BBcode - Not in development. See threads: 1
A custom BBcode tag for linking to FFIX profiles.

First Post can use HTML - Not in development. See threads: 1
Allow first post of a thread to use arbitrary HTML for compatibility with another mod.

Force Message Icon - Not in development. See threads: 1
Requires user to pick a thread icon before submitting the thread.

Future Dated Post - Not in development. See threads: 1
Would allow an admin or mod to post a reply into the future, such that it wouldn't be visible until the post's time has elapsed.



Glossary (1.x) - Not in development. See threads: 1
Provides a glossary for site-specific terms. A 2.0 mod already exists.

gXBoxLive Leaderboard - In development. See threads: 1 2
Integrates XBox Live profile details and related information



Hide Topic Icon in Topic Index - Not in development. See threads: 1
Remove the topic's icon from the main topic view, but keep it in the view of all the posts.

Highlighting Banned Users - Not in development. See threads: 1 2
Add a visible style to banned members, e.g. a line through their name, a different colour, and also optionally to change their title in profile area.



IMG tag disabled for a given user - Not in development. See threads: 1
Provide a profile option for each user to state whether they want to see IMG tags resolved to images, or to turn it into a link for them to browse.

Invisible Text - Not in development. See threads: 1
A mod to change the text to be invisible (presumably same foreground on same background colour)

Invite from Facebook - Apparently in development. See threads: 1
Provides a facility a user to sign into Facebook, from SMF, to invite users. Noted that there are some Facebook connectors in development.

Invite User (2.0) - Not in development. See threads: 1 2
Provide a way to invite a friend to join via an email. There is a 1.x mod, but not a 2.x mod.



Job Board - Covered by existing mod. See threads: 1
For having a job board where users can sign up and post a resume / CV. Replies suggested using this mod which can be used to use this functionality.

To enable updating karma without reloading the page. Additionally the ability to track karma per post (this part is covered here).



Last Seen - implemented. See theads: 1
To list the last time a user logged in underneath their profile in a post.

Latest Blog Post - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to pull the user's latest blog post into their profile.

Leaderboard system - Not in development. See threads: 1 2
To enable having some kind of leaderboard for users, to show rankings in different ways.

Limit moderator times per day - Not in development. See threads: 1
Limit the number of times per day a moderator can edit or delete threads.

Limit themes by inactivity period - Not in development. See threads: 1
Reduces themes available to a user over periods of inactivity.

Limiting Board Access by Group or Time - Not in development. See threads: 1
Limits board access by user group or time. User group limits are core functionality, access by being a member for X days is not implemented.

Link Management / Cloaking - Not in development. See threads: 1
Ability to wrap an affiliate link in one that doesn't appear to be an affiliate link.

Link to Profile from Post Edit - Not in development. See threads: 1
Would alter the "Edited by..." text at the bottom of edited posts to make the user name a link to that user's profile.

Links Broken Until 10 Posts - implemented. See threads: 1
Breaks links posted by a user until they have made 10 posts.

Links hidden from guests - implemented. See threads: 1

Local Time under a User's Profile - solved. See threads: 1
This would make the regular post's time be normal, but underneath the contact details for a user, to include their local time. Solution posted to the thread.

Logging thread views by user - Not in development. See threads: 1
The idea is to keep a track of which threads have been viewed by which user - for each independent view of a thread (including time), though there is already a log in SMF itself of which threads a user has been to and the most recent post in that thread they have seen.



Maintenance Mode Access for Non-Admins - awaiting mod construction. See threads: 1
Provides the ability for selected non admins to log in and browse when the forum is in maintenance mode to test new features. Mod is not built however there are enough notes on how to do it in the thread that it could easily be made into a mod.

Mark All Topics Read for All Users - Not in development. See threads: 1
Would mark all threads read for every user in the forum (at the cost of database size)

Marital Status on Profile - already available. See threads: 1
Add the ability of a user to add their marital status to the forum; for 1.1 this is achieved with an existing mod, with 2.0 a custom profile field is core functionality.

Media Player built into the forum theme - Not in development. See threads: 1
To allow for background music to be played in a forum. Noted in the thread that this would be impossible without using frames.

Member Groups coloured throughout Forum - implemented. See threads: 1 2
Instead of coloured member groups simply being visible in the bottom area, make it visible throughout the entire forum.

Member Groups under the Name (all groups) - not in development. See threads: 1
To display both the primary and all secondary user groups underneath the user name in the posting profile.

Minimum Number of Posts to Post - Not in development. See threads: 1
To restrict the access of a board based on the number of posts a member has, and also to leave a message. Noted in the thread how this can be achieved with an existing mod and use of the Permissions system.

Moderators Notified on New Post - Developed. See threads: 1
Moderators get a notification email when a new post is made, not just regular notifications on replies to subscribed threads.

MSN style chat - Not in development. See threads: 1
A chat facility where as new messages are received, it pops up. (Note this is different to the bottom-bar approach as requested for the Facebook style chat)

Multiple Attachment Folders, 1 per board - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to assign different attachment folders to different boards.

Multiple Forum support - See notes. See threads: 1
Would add support for users wanting to share one user database amongst several forums, that are related - including global cross-forum announcements, independent avatars etc. There are notes on how this can be achieved, plus there is a link to a paid multi-forum package.



News by User group - Not in development. See threads: 1
To have different news groups visible to different user groups. For example one set of news items available to all, and one to premium members.



Operating System detection - implemented. See threads: 1 2
Display the user's operating system and browser in their profile area.

Parachat integration - Not in development. See threads: 1
Integrate Parachat into SMF.

Password Protect Boards (2.0) - Not in development. See threads: 1
Provide a facility to password protect individual boards. There is a 1.1 mod already.

Personal Ads - Not in development. See threads: 1
A personal column mod, to allow users to meet people with similar interests.

Personal Messages with Attachments - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to add attachments to personal messages.

Personal Messages disabled for new user - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to restrict new users from sending PMs; noted in the thread that post count restrictions can be handled through user groups.

Personal Messages disabled except reply to Admin - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to prevent users sending PMs, except to reply to one specifically from an admin (admins would not be exempt, of course)

Personal Photos - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to add a photo to a user's profile, over and above an avatar.

Polls with Multiple Answers, Changing method for % Results - Not in development. See threads: 1

Post Count by Board + Child Board - Not in development. See threads: 1
Would allow a user to have a count of posts in a specific board, and specified child boards, in addition to the master post count. Example given for recipes submitted, where recipes are tracked in a child board.

Post Count reduced by inactivity - Not in development. See threads: 1
Would reduce a user's post count over time if they are inactive.

Rate Posts - implemented. See threads: 1
The ability to rate individual posts as good or bad.

Preview Post (vB style) - completed. See threads: 1
For providing a mouseover preview to a thread to read its opening lines without clicking it.



Quicktime Embedder - Not in development. See threads: 1
A mod to help embed QuickTime movies into pages. May be implemented in AEVA now.



Random Signatures - implemented. See threads: 1
Allow a user to provide 5+ different signatures and for the code to rotate through them.

Rank Reward - Not in development. See thread: 1
Rank posters based on their post count; highest quantity poster would be rank 1, with a custom title, ranks 2 through 10 have another title etc.

RapidShare link checker - In testing. See threads: 1
Allows for admins to verify whether RapidShare links are still working or not, as well as MegaUpload links. Does not check all links in a forum - just RapidShare and MegaUpload.

Recipe book mod - Not in development. See threads: 1
Allows for users to enter recipes, rate them etc.

Rename Child Boards - implemented. See threads: 1
Allow a user to customise the text 'Child Boards' that appears when sub forums are present. Core functionality in 2.0

Required Word in first reply - Not in development. See threads: 1
Would require that a user's first reply in a thread contain at least one of a given set of words/phrases.

Register and Login form on the same page - Needs followup. See threads: 1
Have the ability to display both the login form and the register form on the same page. For 1.1.x you can use the SSI Register mod and have the Register and Login forms on a single page with SSI. SSI Register needs updating for 2.0 though.

Resize Images - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to optionally resize an image you are including in an IMG tag, or forcibly do it to prevent too large images being present.

ReTweet this Post - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to repost content on Twitter using URL shorteners.

Reward Referrals - Not in development. See threads: 1
Some kind of system for noting referrals from other users and offering some kind of reward to them.

RSS feed to power News area - Not in development. See threads: 1
The news system could accept an RSS (or Atom) feed to put news into the news area.



Search Auto-Complete - implemented. See threads: 1
Have an auto-complete function available when searching.

Send This Post - Not in development. See threads: 1
Have the ability to send an individual post to an external source, as a subset of Send This Topic.

Share Topics on Blogs - Not in development. See threads: 1
The ability to repost threads onto blogs.

Show Time and Date of Last visit - implemented. See threads: 1
Add a vB-style "You last visited on (date)" item.

Smiley Groups and Attachment - smiley groups covered, attachment upgrades not in development. See threads: 1
The first part of the mod covers grouping smileys together and having sets visible; covered in this mod. The second mod covers enhancements to attachments including a progress bar.

SSI topicNews (2.0) - Not in development. See threads: 1
A mod exists for 1.x, the request is to replicate the functionality in 2.0

Statistics enhancements - implemented. See threads: 1 2
Upgraded forum stats, being able to apply date ranges to the statistics rather than just 'since creation'.

Subscribe to a User's Posts - Not in development. See threads: 1
Adding the ability for a user to be notified when another user posts; there is already the ability to notify when a specific thread is replied to, but this is to track posts from a given user.

Syntax Highlighter for C++ - Not in development. See threads: 1
Add a tag that specifies the code is C++ and should be highlighted accordingly.

Allow users to integrate with TeamSpeak and use IP and other profile information to be shared between SMF and TS.

Themes by Membergroup - Not in development. See threads: 1
To set a theme for different member groups, rather than per board, e.g. an admin theme, a moderator theme and so on.

Topic Note - in development. See threads: 1
For attaching a note to a topic that will be displayed at the top of every page in that topic. Example given in the thread.

Torrent Tracker - in development. See threads: WIP thread 1
For creating and hosting torrent files.

Twitter feed from SMF (SMF posts appear on Twitter) - not required. See threads: 1
For having new posts marketed onto Twitter, Twitter can import from an RSS feed.



Unread Posts highlighting - Not in development. See threads: 1
Instead of using 'new' icons for unread posts, allow the title to be highlighted in bold or another colour. There are notes in the thread for doing it, however.

Uploaded Image Embedded BBcode - Not in development. See threads: 1
Create a setup whereby an attached file (or other uploaded file) then provides you appropriate BBcode to embed elsewhere. Thread suggests using a slightly different mod that works similarly.

User Activity Bars - Not in development. See threads: 1
Add graphical information to a profile to indicate how active a user is, over the last day or so, as well as all-time.

User Name Change Requester - Not in development. See threads: 1
Allow users to submit a request for their name to be changed, and for an admin to approve.

User Wall - already available. See threads: 1
Provides a discussion area for users, like a topic about themselves (like Facebook's Wall). Can be done using Profile Comments mod.



vBulletin "xyz time ago" style - May be in development. See threads: 1
Change time of last post to "1 Hour Ago" as appropriate; as vBulletin does.

Video Games Owned - Not directly in development. See threads: 1
Allow users to track what games they have. Noted that this will be a feature of the gXBoxLive mod listed above.

View 5 Unique Threads Before Posting - Not in development. See threads: 1
Require users to view 5 different threads before allowing them to post.

View Single Category - implemented. See threads: 1
The breadcrumb trail for a category takes you to a given category only on the page, instead of placing you at the right place on the main page.



Who Tab - See thread. See threads: 1
Add a tab alongside the main tabs (e.g. Home, Members, Admin) that contains the Who's Online content. The thread contains the relevant mod details.

WYSIWYG Editor (better than core) - In development. See threads: 1
A more graphical and interactive editor than the regular editor as part of SMF.



'You' BBcode - Not in development. See threads: 1
Allows a tag that displays the reader's name as part of the message, e.g. for bulk PMs.

Dude, I just created a PM Attachments MOD that uses the same code for displaying attachments in Posts and gives you the same options in Admin for PM Attachments as with Attachments for Posts, plus more features, take a look at my Sig if you want it.  Already submitted to SMF, but could take them a year before the Customization Team ever approves it, as testing it will be long and hard.  So you guys can scratch this 1 off of your list.
