Maybe in next version...For now it works only with 1.1.x versions.

TurtleKicker

Is this hard-coded to just be available to admins? Or can any mod with access to edit the ban list also see this button?

Dzonny

For now this allow only admins to view ban button, but in next version (very soon) i will make it for members which can manage bans.

Which forum version, and which theme are you using?
You need to edit themes files manually if you're using custom theme....

I downloaded the file in the admin section and this is what i reveived when i tried to install.

Error in Package Installation

At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

This is the version that I'm using.

SMF 2.0 RC1.2

I am using SMF2.0 RC3
I fixed it my self and it works now & I thought I would post it to help others

find

                <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=ban;sa=add;u=', $message['member']['id'], '">', $ban_button, '</a>';

replace with

               <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=admin;area=ban;sa=add;u=', $message['member']['id'], '">', $ban_button, '</a>';

Thank you for the wonderful mod!  I thought I'd let everybody know that when I updated my forum from 2.0 RC5 to 2.0 Gold, I had to reinstall all my mods.  This mod installed without issues and using 2.0 RC4 emulation.  Hope this info helps someone!

Installed it but the button is not showing up. :(
It doesn't show up for me, either.  I figured it out though.... it turned out that the ban.gif file wasn't being copied to the individual theme's images/theme folder.  Manually copying it to each of my theme folders solved my particular issue.  That being said, it would be appreciated if the mod itself could copy that particular file, but hey, I'll take what I can get  ::)

works well on 2.0.1 but you must emulate to the mods 2.0 RC4

Please try to use 3.0 version, it should work with latest smf versions as well...

Thank you for this mod!  I noticed something that I fixed in my copy of the mod.  The ban button doesn't show up on non-default themes.  So I thought I'd post a fix for this, if anybody was interested.

In package-info.xml, replace all instances of this:$themedir/imageswith this:$imagesdir
