Who's at a specific action/subaction on your forums??

Hello, I am in need of displaying the Usernames (and getting user ids so I can link to their profile) and ## of guests on a specific page of my forum.  Basically at a specific action/subaction.

I was reviewing the SMF Function Database and have seen the function determineActions() in the Who.php file and am wondering if I am in the correct place with this.  Basically I want the username(s) and # of guests to be shown on this page.  The page is relative to the SMF Root.  So there is a source and template file associated with it.  Is this the function I need to do this with??  If so, can someone provide a simple example of this?
