Every day I'm getting this kind of remark. Every day I'm tempted to throw everything away and remind everyone they should respect the people who write the mods and provide help/support. It's no fun anymore. It hasn't been fun at all for several months now.
At this point I'm really no longer concerned with the success of my mods. Unless someone steps in and offers me a decent actual salary for a fulltime job on SMF and my mods (which of course won't happen), one day I'll just drop them and go bye bye on this wonderful community.

Any recent major changes on youtube officially or on aeva's youtube?

Strangely, now HDs load only the proper sizes but does not load the actual quality(one has to click it manually)

I haven't touched anything! It was working fine few days ago.

We need Karl Benson's version of this mod available again. Worked fine without the attitude.

It's there, it's called YTBBC.

One thing i'm not sure of - when you load the page with the HD clip, it loads the ws version first, right? And when you click on the "HD" button it is supposed to put some "hd" in the address bar at the end of the link. Now it doesn't do that. Or may be i'm completely mistaken and it has always been like that?
One thing i'm certain thou - it acts different now. It loads automatically only the hd size but not the hd quality - you have to click it:)
It's not a big deal. I'm only checking if you're aware of that.

I know. I followed the example and renamed the file before uploading it like it said and everything. But it did not work. So somewhere along the line I did something wrong or the example missed something. Either way I'm currently stuck with these extra large videos. Can you tell me how to go in and fix it or no? I'm not a scripting wiz kid like yourself, so alot of this is still foreign to me. You make it sound like a fast and easy fix. How do I do it? Sorry if my slowness is frustrating.

249 pages is too much to dig through so I'l ask the question and hope I get lucky.  I've installed the mod on my board and it's working great. 
I'm running SMF 1.1.10.  Now, I say it's working great but only if I'm running from my windows box.
However, I'm taking another stab at running Ubuntu 9.04 again. (still a noob) And when I
visit my site with Firefox I don't see any of the videos (YouTube) I posted there.  I only see
the title text.  No box outline, no question mark, nothing.

Is this a plugin problem with Firefox perhaps or something else?  I intend to ask the
Ubuntu peeps as well but I thought it might be you since I can go to
youtube.com and watch videos all day long with the same browser.

Any ideas?

Yes.  Youtube seems fine.   Doesn't seem to work on my board when I use FF from Ubuntu.

Edit: I got it working now.  Problem with plugins for the browser.

For example.
A user don't have a fast connection and change a video to LQ.
The next one he will see (in an other thread) will have LQ preselected.

I'm running my site know for 3 years and can't manage to get some members.
After I start using Aeva, I have two members who post at least once a week. I have some conversation with both of them and they told me, that they post only because of the "cool video feature".
After a while they have send me a request to offer them a private board for their RPG community.
At the moment, none of them have any interest in posting in the "open part" of my page, but they write in their "private board". They are spamming YouTube Videos in nearly every thread and are really happy with this "unique video feature".

You see, you have a solid fan-base, even in boards, you haven't ever heart of.

lol... People over at my own board aren't using Aeva or SMG except for the occasional test post/item because they feel compelled to try out my new features when I announce them for fear of hurting my feelings if they didn't.... <sob>

Aeva is by far one of the most popular functions of my forum as well. People like it a lot that they don't have to manually construct an embed code in BBC... ( We actually used to have instructions on how to do it for youtube vids )

But that's not the case. I'm sure youtube have changed something. It's the only logical explanation as long as Nao hadn't made any to aeva.
My board is not public yet, so i'm only testing stuff on it. Posting, deleting, cashing out etc. all the time:)
A week ago, as i was testing, YT hds were loading in proper size and quality automatically. And a few days ago i tried again with new clip and it only showed in proper size but not the quality. Somehow, option for loading HD quality automatically has gone - now i have to click on the button for hd.
And something else: if i make custom file even if it's unchanged inside, the aeva settings page inside the admin in smf goes blank when refreshed - no errors, no nothing - clean blank. I have pure smf instalation with two mods: aeva and simple portal, so i think the problems have to be in some of the sites(my wild guess is YT).
However Aeva is the greatest embedding mod i've ever used. I've been testing: vB, MyBB, phpBB, IPB and i haven't found a mod as smooth and comfortable as Aeva. With all the user-friendliness, auto updates and tutorials inside - it just owns them all.

A great mod that I just install but, unfortunately I have problems with the installations on my server, so I had to install it manually.

It works fine except for youtube videos, it only shows me the video's title with IE and FF, and with Yahoo videos the mod works only with IE, in FF the video is blank.

Can you help me? The SMF version is 1.1.10 and AEVA version 6.9.99.
