how do you embed local files on this ive uploaded a .wmv and a .mov file and it is just a link no with no video. I altered chmod to 777 on all the avec files still nothing, am i missing somthing do i have to use some special bbcode or somthing. i even uninstalled it deleted it from the server downloaded a fresh copy and installed it againe, still only a link no video. also i think i may have found a bug. this maybe the problem i dont know. ok what i found.
When in admin in avec after selecting everything i want and hitting save, it seems that the settings are being saved to the database with no problems. however it seems like the file sorces Subs-Aevac-Generated-Sites.php is missing some components and is not being updated. See code bellow from Subs-Aevac-Generated-Sites.php when you open this file for some reson it always opens up at line 3306 with the curser blinking on that line here see the end

Like i said it also seems like the file is missing stuff and is not being updated this code is for the local files.

It dont matter what settings i have enabled or disabled in admin they always seem to be set to FALSE thier also seems to be no remarks to .mov .wmv etc like in the admin panell, for example

now when i manualy alter all the FALSE to TRUE and manualy put the code in for the missing bits like .wmv .mov etc i actualy get the player showing in a post however it is the divx player and if you click on play it says the file is not a divx file.

Please can you help me to get local files to play inline instead of being a link

It certainly is possible to embed HQ playback. I have done so within Wordpress or regular HTML files. It would also seem strange to write the mod with this option if it was impossible. Would be lovely to get this working.

I need a prove on that. I have been running a forum for several months where there's posted a lot of Youtube videos. There's absolutely no difference in the quality in HQ or normal playback (but a huge when playing them directly). And as I mentioned, I got the message from Youtube forum that they don't allow it yet.

Besides, the "logic" you base your reply on is faulty. It assumes that his "goodbye" message is his absolutely last one.

"Goodbye cruel world!, After Monday, I'll be gone - forever!" then answered a hundred posts and pms, then left, never to return.

Yes, obviously as a SMF forum admin, and a heavily custom modified one at that, I know how to use the software. I knew Karl was very active and could have had many posts, even announcing something like "in two months I am retiring from SMF" or something. After all, he asked for volunteers to take over his mods (except this one as I recall) quite a long time ago. I figured since this person read it, they could find it for me and save me some trouble.

Agreed. I hope someone competent comes along and continues development of this mod.

Just use the embedd link justin.tv provide.
I use that also, and figured that one link per channel is enough.
Although I only really use the movie channel lol
Such things I do not wish for users to freely add to the site...

You want to watch a Justin.tv channel in your forum or something yeah?
Well on every channel there, there is a link to embedd that player/channel into your site.
It is usually under the chatbox in the "Channel Info" section.

Your mod is excellent, and most Turkish people would want to apply it to their forums so that they can use my webpage. Can you help me to integrate my webpage to smf sites? I mean if that is possible for you to adjust your mod so that Turkish Community use my webpage.
