Just to let anyone know that if you give text decoration (Bold,Underline,Italics etc) for your post links in style.css, the mod for Youtube video does not work. You can have a color but not decoration.

I vote to remove the embed local files functionality completely as it really is an entirely different purpose from the original intent of this mod in my opinion.

I second that. I guess it would be nice if local embedding worked, its easy enough to upload to YT. I feel like one of those fat guys in a floating chair mesmerized by a screen.

Embedding of local files is one of the things I was looking forward to in version. But since it didn't work, I made my own modifications to play .flv and .wmv locally with the JW Player.

SMG doesn`t do that ....
is a big difference to upload a video file (that means you must allow a really big max file size) than embed the file in your post.
The option of embed local files is there , but don`t work for some reason ......

Pulled a new copy of the mod from the mod site & checked the Subs-Aevac.php and it's not there either.
Attached is my file pulled from my working site.

You have a very weird Subs-AEVAC.php with double spacing between every line. I would guess it's the one on line 1065 (about double of line 533 ).

That's because he downloaded off his Linux FTP onto a Windows machine through a FTP client set in ASCII mode and that didn't correctly retrieve the data.
Line breaks in Windows and Linux are not the same. It creates problems in some configurations. (I get that from time to time with my CuteFTP 2.8 in ASCII mode... Although it hasn't happened to me in years, actually.)

- version number: (1) reset to 1.0 (2) update to 5.0 (3) update to 4.0.3 and so on
- name: (1) rename to AEVA (2) rename to SMAEVA (SimpleMachines Auto-Embed Video & Audio) (3) keep AEVAC
- website: (1) noisen.com (with a subdomain) (2) smaeva.com (3) smf-media.com (with a long URL following it )

If you want an AEVA 1.0 hosted at noisen.com (like, a support board at aeva.noisen.com), just answer 111. You get the point. Thanks for your participation.

Explaining: I would like to see an update of the current version with fixed bugs (like the server error message sometimes when 'embedding in quoted messages' is disabled) and have this version as "legacy" version (3). After this, the next version should be your remake with your logic and options (1).

As for the mod, I'll go 211 since it seems to be the most commonly accepted offer.
You can check out http://aeva.noisen.com for a placeholder forum. If it appears in French even though your Windows is in English, please report it. (I'm trying to set it by default to your OS language. But this is a website targetted to French users so it's not easy to check everything.)

(And to whomever said the name sucked, thank you. I only spent a few months thinking about it.)

Dimensions should be optional in the admin center. Most videos are made in 4/3 or similar format and really looks stupid in widescreen format.
