On the embed local files, I see it is disabled for attachments so I guess that explains why it wouldn't work. Why is it disabled for attachments? Can I enable it for attachments? Haven't tested it by putting a file on my server and linking without adding as attachment yet.

Its disabled for attachments for security reasons.

The primary aim was to limit local files only to those uploaded by the admin.
Allowing users to upload ones which embed is a security issue.

You can never rely on the file extension, NOR the mime type to categorically be sure that its a safe file, nor that its the filetype you expected.

Gotcha. Thanks for the explanation. Personally, I could embed local files pretty easily without this mod but if I didn't I suppose it would be a handy feature. I'm not going to test it though since I don't need it.

It really would be a fantastic to get the fix uses of the embed html feature working as I frequently have n00bs trying to use embed codes causing confusion for them, others, and wasting my time cleaning up their mess.

I am now using the AEVA-5.0.21 .. I'll update you if there's a problem. we had almost a 1000 nunchaku freesyle videos in our site at freestyleforum.net  this page has a huge amount of video links http://www.freestyleforum.net/index.php?topic=2035.0 [nofollow]

so far.. the only problem I had from the previous 5.0.18 is the yahoo video multiple links, only 1 video is appearing inside a topic post pages. It is now fixed with the new version 

I was manually modifying the youtube video size inside the Subs-Aeva-Sites.php to 640 X 505. I guess we need more larger screen of embedding video so we can see more details in freestyle nunchaku exhibitions. I was only hoping if it can be set adjustable in admin panel since youtube itself has embedding sizes available @ their site. It comes in 320X265 / 425X344 / 480X385 / 640X505 sizes. which I know these aren't your priorities but it could be important to others aswell.    anyways, thanks so much for reviving this mod. I'll try to be more active in its testing. Thanks so much

Hi, im trying to uninstall the 4.0.2 version but im getting a error with the sources/modsettings.php the rest of the files says test success.

How can i uninstall the 4.0.2 to install the new 5.0.1?

Unistall bypassing the modsettings.php error and delete the added code to it will work? what are the code to remove from modsettings.php in this case?
