I obviously failed in enabling lookups by default when they're supported. It'll be what I work on in the next version, I guess...

In case anyone is using the pdf tag mod, make sure your width for pdf embeds doesn't exceed the max-width in your css or else Adobe Acrobat will fail to launch in firefox.

@Andree> Aeva is trying to download remotely a small file (I chose this one because it seems to be in all installs and one of the smaller files), to test for the availability of the lookup feature. It's a perfectly normal request. It should only happen once -- if the server can handle lookups, there's no reason to believe it won't be able to do them in the future, so the request is no longer made.

@Ed Jorge> I tried the aeva_install.php file and indeed it doesn't work anymore when launched as stand-alone. This is an easy fix, just remove the code block between lines 21 and 27. The next update will have a proper fix. (I'll commit it ASAP, it's easy really.)

@Everyone> Fixed the issue with lookup changes not being reflected immediately in the site list. The same bug happened for HQ and Fix HTML options as well. Sorry that I missed these in the first place... I'll probably released an official update tomorrow (5.1.47?)

@Nao: Sorry I go to the support thread of the SMF Media Gallery. All mods were installed without problems. This is very confusing for me because I check both codes of the SMF Media Gallery and AEVA in Load.php and Subs.php and I don't fine any line that causes that error. I am unsure... but maybe the problem with the SMG is some code of the Simple Portal. Unfortunately I don't know much of PHP.

About your problem -- can you remind exactly what's going on?

There are several changes that need to be done. In SMF 1.1.7, the Aeva tab is in "Feature and settings". In SMF 2.x, it's in "Modifications".

Actually I forgot I reverted the files back after it didnt work the first time.....so now I can see AVEA and AVEA Sites tabs but in that page nothing comes up other than a checkbox labelled SAVE. I gues I screwed something up and will check my edits again. Thanks

Hi. Trying to use the manual install route for 2.04beta and the ./Sources/Admin.php instructions seem a bit screwed up. The select box is too small to select anything from... Or is it just me?

For the record (skip this paragraph if you're not interested in geek thingies). Probably my best and shortest piece of code ever was a 512-byte bootsector in 68k assembler. It would search any floppy disk that came by for viruses (heuristic method IIRC but there were even some protections built-in), flashed if there was one, and offered to copy itself to the floppy disk to protect it. It even had enough space left to show some credits, lol. The first version of KMJ was zipping to less than 50KB, including a 65KB or so executable and the tileset. Each time the program grew, I tried to make sure it was worth it. I never switched to DirectX 9 because it forced me to use (and package) a huge dll just for it. Things like that.

Optimizing the html fixer can actually help Aeva. The current clipfish embed code is no longer valid. Since nobody uses it, nobody reported that it was broken. Still, it's one of the longer embed codes in the file, so I shortened it, and now it works. Because clipfish changed a few internal things in their embed code, but the beginning and the end where still basically the same. All I need is the beginning and the end.

You need to edit the Subs-Aeva-Sites.php, then upload it again, go to the admin of AEVA and save the "AEVA SITES" to generate a new file.

Ex: If you want to edit dimensions for Youtube, go to line 144-145 and edit to the dimensions you want like

Select Avea 5.1.42 and look at the manual install for 2.04 Beta, scroll down to the ./Sources/Admin.php portion. Look at the Find: [Select] box. For me, there is nothing in that box because it is too small to scroll through so there is nothing to select.
