It's a .css error in this Simple Machines forum that has been there for a long time. I wonder when they are going to fix that as it is pretty annoying.
Though if you don't maximize your browser, but makes the size narrow, you can see the text.

You need to edit the Subs-Aeva-Sites.php, then upload it again, go to the admin of AEVA and save the "AEVA SITES" to generate a new file.

Ex: If you want to edit dimensions for Youtube, go to line 144-145 and edit to the dimensions you want like
      'embed-width' => '640',
      'embed-height' => '480',

Does Aeva have conflicts with simple portal?

Because my aeva hasn't been working properly. Facebook and ESPN videos that used to work aren't working anymore.

When I first installed aeva I've noticed that some of the posts containing videolinks were trimmed (the description of the videos) and some of the diacritics (not all of them) were messed up. I wasn't sure that it was an aeva related issue, I manually fixed some posts, removed some other broken posts and moved on.

Now after the latest aeva update the existing song titles containing diacritics were again broken.

Instead of ....lets say "A holnap már nem lesz szomorú" ("Sadness will be over tomorrow") I've got "A Holnap Már Nem Lesz Szomorú"

I see no errors in the error logs but I'll run a database repair just in case ....

MySQL charset:  UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
MySQL connection collation: ut8_unicode_ci

As far as I noticed non-related video posts were not affected. I'll fix them manually but I need to know if this issue has anything to do with aeva considering that I'll have to update the mod every now and then.

My Subs-Aeva-Custom.php is like this:

But the player is the same widht. Any idea?
In AEVA section, can't find "custom sites", only "Other sites".

Follow the instructions of the Subs-Aeva-Custom-Example.php file and put this at the end of your Subs-Aeva-Custom.php file (before the "?>", of course):

This is untested, but it should work... Just save, go to Aeva admin, save the site list and it should work.
You can also change the mp3 player's url that way (good luck though, it's harder than simply changing the width!)

Okay, I'll try to do everything in order...

First of all, I've uploaded the latest Subs-Aeva-Sites.php to the mod site (the one that fixed the clipfish.de embed code, among other minor things).
I would be interested in having a few users simply go to their Admin area in their website, and see if the Aeva tab will automatically download the updated file for them.

You need to edit the Subs-Aeva-Sites.php, then upload it again, go to the admin of AEVA and save the "AEVA SITES" to generate a new file.

Actually, this is no longer the recommended way... Please read through the Subs-Aeva-Custom-Example.php file to see how to change settings definitively for a site. Otherwise, they will be erased everytime Aeva downloads an updated site list (like I mentioned above).

Also, just so you know -- the next version should no longer erase your Generated site list, which means that you'll never have to redo your site list again if you update.

@vasco> Check out your page's html code. Does it say the embed object's width is 600? If yes, then the local player doesn't want to be resized and I should use a different example, lol. If not, then you probably forgot to save the site list. (You don't need to visit the site list, you need to press the "Save" button.)

IE7 and FF 3.xx. It's been the same all over the Simple Machines forum for a long time. See attachment.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLFiLSqbsbg is not in widescreen. It's a 4/3 video in 16/9 format. It will always embed as 4/3 (just if you are unsure).

But I also have some troubles with widescreen. I can't exactly point out what goes wrong. It's the same video I'm trying with, and sometimes it comes out in 4/3 and sometimes it comes out in 16/9.

This seems to be for sure though:

If I insert the same video twice in the same post with #ws on one of them, the result is this:
The #ws movie is embedded in 640*360 widescreen without no borders
The video without is embedded in 800*600 but not in widescreeen.

Edit: I kept trying to insert the same video again and again (before that I changed dimensions to 640*480) and the result was the same. If the video was posted with the #ws, it got in wide format 640*something. Without the £ws, it was just a regular 4/3 640 wide.
Then I posted another video and then posted the original file again without the #ws. then it was suddently autodetected!!!
I always resave the AEVA site list and also clears the filecache when changing some settings to be sure that is not the cause.
So basically it seems the auto-widescreen detection works on and off for me. Not that I really care. The video is still the same and in the same dimensions, just without black borders.

I try not to update the file more than once a week, but this really was needed... No show-stoppers or anything, but first-time users would have been annoyed with the fact that changing the lookup setting required to save the site list afterwards.
