Wow another update. Aeva is so fast 

I try not to update the file more than once a week, but this really was needed... No show-stoppers or anything, but first-time users would have been annoyed with the fact that changing the lookup setting required to save the site list afterwards.

I tried three different randomly chosen embed codes. How do I save the site list? Just go to aeva site list and click save at bottom, right?

Me neither. The only issue I have is that I once more tried to change from 640*480 to 800*600 in Subs-Aeva-Custom.php with the code:

After 20 tries, saving the "Aeva", "Aeva Sites", clearing the forum cache, clearing the browser cache, I still only get new added videos shown in 640 width.
In Subs-Aeva-Sites.php, the original values are there:
      'embed-width' => '425',
      'embed-height' => '344',

I changed to FF and it's the same. It's like it's stuck to the resolution.

Even tried to delete Subs-Aeva-Custom.php on the server, then tried everything again. Still stuck to 640 in width.

weightman, yes, just click on Save. Either in the Aeva tab or Aeva Sites tab, it has the same results. (It regenerates the cached site list.)

akyhne, YT widescreen dimensions are hardcoded into the source file. Subs-Aeva.php, line 433... I suppose it's not okay with you, eh?

Well, that explains why I yesterday had a 4/3 shown in 800 width and a 16/9 shown in 600 width and why all my ws files now are shown in 640 width.

But the error I have now is for all videos. Widescreen or not, they all show in 640 width. As mentioned, I deleted Subs-Aeva-Custom.php and Subs-Aeva-Sites.php says

I think you are doing a fantastic job anyway,definitely one of the top 3 mods on smf for sure

Hi, I'm trying to install this mod,
I uploded zip file, then I click Aply mod, afther that I get msg

"Some of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager.
but I get this error"

then i cliked procced but i got msg

"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

After that in field ftp server i typed ftp.domain.org [nofollow] (first time it was localhost) and again i got sam error msg..
In forum log it say's this

I can upload on my hosting via ftp/cpanel and in forum ACP...but did not tried to install any other mod

EDIT: now i tried to install few other mods and I have same err msg  tried to chmod /public_html/smf to 755 and 777 and I get same error msg.
Any idea?

@wrbex> you clearly have Safe Mode enabled on your server. Although it is technically possible to install any mod on these, it's recommended that you ask your host to disable it. It's a pointless "feature" really, there are better ways to improve server security.

@akyhne> the 640 width will only be used if there's a #ws in your URL... Make sure it isn't there. If you still have the problem, then, well...? Is the height set to 385px as well?

Okay... First of all, you didn't update the site list... lol. Actually this is because I'm being conservative with the delays in between, I guess.
You can force an update (if you know there's one available, it's helpful) by adding ";fvt" (force version test) at the end of the URL (you must already by in the Aeva admin section of course. Settings or Site List, it doesn't matter.)

Second of all, your server is crappy, or you installed a crappier mod.

It isn't using the dreaded magic quotes, but it's still returning addslashed texts! That's just plain awful. I have no idea why this is happening.
I gave up with the magic quotes test, since it can happen even on servers without this. Instead I've written a few more lines of code to test whether there are backslashes before double quotes. It should be enough to determine whether the string needs to be stripslashed.

(And of course, it worked. Just go see.)
It will be in the next update.
If anyone here has the same problem, I can post the modified file here if you'd like.

The mod is running with standard settings - no edits by me - still I have 640 in width on all videos - 16/9 or 4/3.

hm..I send mail to my hosting, and they say that server is not in safe mode
