would now be a bad time to bring this topic up again? I'm having the same problem (flexihostings is the hosting company)...I'm quite new to the SimpleMachines set of things (kinda come from a phpbb2 background and it's all I've really tried...but I LOVE what you guys have done with it...just need to get the last few things ironed out...like this).  Happens with themes and a few other things.

Error logs show:

doesn't give much info other than the fact that I've never set a custom error code.  Most everything is set to 644 on permissions according to what I can see.

EDIT: new info...the link on the left side in the admin panel doesn't work....however hte link from hte administration center DOES work...odd behavior huh?

EDIT2: same error when trying to add a new board :P kinda puts me at a standstill on getting the board truely useful...but I haven't found any other boards with all the features (nor a decent built-in package installer which I LOVE!!!) so I'm hoping I'll learn enough to get this fixed somehow :P  Thanks in advance

well just to note: I tried it on a simple WAMP install on my desktop and it works flawlessly...now if only i can get it working on the linux server >.<

only additional info I've found relating to the problem is the access_log

doesn't seem to helpful I know but I thought I might as well include it :P

someone in the "how'd you find SMF?" thread mentioned that...it fixed one of the problems...but the theme settings one still was broken...(as of yesterday).  I was about to just figure it wasn't going to work...and oddly today it changed it's mind or something (I kid you not...I've done nothing to it o_O).  But it works now (I'm thinking maybe my browser was caching the problem after the ;id patch was applied).

Anyways...it works and thanks! ^_^ *happy dance*

EDIT: ok it stops working when I hit submit now...but at the current trend I'll just wait a few days and it'll work :P
