How do I instill this on registration?

Arantor

shadowravenhawk

If I rip akismet for stop spammer can I leave the akismet code on the pages?

Arantor

Not really, no, because it'll still be trying to run that code.

shadowravenhawk

Do you know of anyone who has the page changes for 1.1.5

Arantor

For what, the Stop Forum Spam/Stop Spammer mod, or the Akismet mod?

Either way, go to the Mod site, find the mod, select 1.1.5 in the dropdown, and hit Parse. This will give you install instructions - uninstalling is just the reverse.

shadowravenhawk

For stop spammer. I found the instructions but I'm wondering you know someone who has these pages with the changes on them.

Arantor

The Stop Spammer mod doesn't install visibly to regular members, only to the admin. I have it installed on a forum already.

shadowravenhawk

Did you have to make all the page changes? Some say that they are optional

Arantor

I just installed it automatically.

Where the changes are optional it will be indicated by the mod itself in the Parse page, usually for translations and the languages files, or for other themes.

shadowravenhawk

I ripped akismet and installed stop spammer and get this on every board:
Unknown column 't.spam' in 'where clause'
File: /var/www/virtual/u/f/ufo-secret-files.net/www/forum/Sources/MessageIndex.php
Line: 459

I took out stop spammer and still get the same thing. I have attached this file

Arantor

That mods also does DB changes. As part of the install, there should have been an install PHP file being executed which runs 1+ DB queries - was this also run?

shadowravenhawk

I ripped the mod and it is still doing this.

Arantor

Then the changes of one or the other weren't complete.

shadowravenhawk

I tried to install this mod again and got this:
The file you are uploading already exists on the server. Please delete it first then try again.

The mod no longer appears on my list of installed mods

Arantor

No, but the file is still there. Check 'Browse Packages'. Is it still listed there?

shadowravenhawk

It was so was akismet. I deleted both and still am getting the same message

Arantor

Then the edits were not complete.

Deleting the package does not delete the mod, only uninstalling does.

There are clearly some edits still in the files that were not removed. You've mentioned manually installing mods - one or more edits you've performed have not been removed.

shadowravenhawk

So I need to remove the edits that I made for akismet on that page?
