Installed simple machines and began making the forum, How do i get a welcome page or front page, and how do get areas for advertising and links. Hopefully there version i installed last night is the latests version.

1) You'll to install a portal mod for a welcome or frontpage.
2) Advertising will need a mod too, generally the Ad ManageMent mod is recommended.
