Please, akaphan, use this file instead. (rename to convert.php eventually)
I suppose you were converting to SMF 2.0 RC1.2.
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

It doesn't convert the sub forum  :)

Can you fix it please?

Can you please tell to what version of SMF are you trying to convert?
EDIT: I found the posts you have on the problem, and merged them together into a separate topic. It will be easier to follow on the issues.

Please tell : are there errors on the screen? A full copy paste or screenshot would be useful. Also, I'm not sure, what exactly you refer to, when you say sub-forums... boards that are in other boards by any chance?

Thank :)

Okay,

The file I used to convert is attached.

My VB version is 3.8.4

I'm trying to convert to SMF2.0 RC1.2

I get the following error when converting (in image)

After converting I noticed that:
- Moderators in VB are converted into Global Moderator in SMF
- The sub-boards were not converted (Yes, boards that are in other boards)
- The polls were not converted
- The Users Awaiting Email Confirmation group in VB were not converted, so I lost quite a lot of members.

Thank you again :)

Edit: The sub-boards were converted, but these values (in image) were not converted, and that was why it's not showing up :)

Can you please make sure you use these attached files?

I don't seem to replicate the problem with avatars, it was indeed in a previous version but it should be solved now.
ETA : That would also have a bearing on the issue with boards, as you have an error and the rest of the conversion is not run (which if I remember well will try to fix the boards among other things :) ).

:) I used your new files and get this.

I think it's debug info.

By the way, now I can see the sub-boards already

But still the problem of Waiting Confirmation member group not converted persists.

:) Thank you

Oops. This one shouldn't have it. :)
(but it's the same for the rest).

I will look into the users waiting confirmation problem, though I'm afraid I won't be able to see about it until tomorrow.

I tried replicating the problem, but I see users awaiting activation correctly converted to exactly users awaiting activation.
Please tell if it still happens for you, on a conversion ended successfully (if your conversion ended now successfully).

Oh, you might want to note that: if you look at the memberlist in SMF, as you get it from "Members" list in the upper menu bar, then that is the "standard memberlist" as all users see it, and that list doesn't show the banned users, nor the not-yet-activated users. Doesn't mean they don't exist: please check out the "admin memberlist" at Admin > Members: this list will contain these not active users, and will only be accessible to admins.

^^

Yes, thank you, it was my bad

I looked under the forum stats and it's not showing the total members count correctly

But, in the admin section, it does

Thank you a lot, Norv, that problem is solved
:D

Cheers, good to hear it's okay! :)

How about the other problems, is there any which is still happening?
