Hi!

I've have an existing PHPBB discussion board but decided to change to a SMF which I think is fantastic btw  :D. So right now I have two forums installed in my server and I am trying to move all the posts from the phpbb one to the smf one.

Can I do something with the mysql so that I don't have to cut and paste every post (and lose the date and time and who originally posted them) ? Is that possible and if it is could some please take pity on a newbie to detail it out step by step as I know nothing abt mysql  ;D ;D

Thank you,

Angela

Download the phpBB to SMF converter:
http://www.simplemachines.org/download.php/phpbb2_to_smf.php

Put it in your SMF folder and make sure that your SMF database user has access to read your phpBB database.
Access the script using your webbrowser and input the required data.

This will convert all your users, forums and posts
Whoops! Did i break that?
