Thanks SMF buddies.

My forum is now running on SMF 2.0 RC2

You are all great!

However, how can I make the forum to start sending emails to the members?

For example, if someone check on "Notify me of replies", my forum doesn't send email again the member who made the post.

It started after the transfer from one host to another hosting account. Is there anyting I did wrong? How can I rectify this problem?

Thanks

Upgrade went smoothly took about 4 hours :-)

Not really if you have a heavily customised theme with a lot of mods.

When I get round to the site upgrade I'm planning, I'm allowing 16 hours to do all the necessary work on it given the level of customisation and recoding of mods to support 2.0 RC2.

Kenny01

I mean ordinary upgrade with no mods and customization.

SleePy

It didn't even take 4 hours to upgrade this site :o. The main upgrade was finished in less than an hour.  I did spend a good deal of time after that working on the site and other bugs though.

Thanks for making things clear Sleepy.

I apologize if this has been asked already ...

Is there any plans to have built in "pretty urls" in SMF 2.0 final?

Arantor

Not other than the in built "queryless" style.

So called pretty URLs do not work so well on all configurations (the built in 'queryless' is slightly better supported) and they have little or no actual SEO benefit, plus they do add a performance hit to the server.

There are multiple mods however should you wish to have this functionality, but I cannot see it ever being a core feature.
