Hello, please excuse my English.

Smf be installed in the same database of vbulletin?

Thanks and best regards

H

SMF should be installed in the same database as vBulletin so it can access the vBulletin tables for conversion :)

So I did and always gives me the following error when converting:

Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of vBulletin 3.7. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it.

The error MySQL gave was: Incorrect database name ''

thanks for your help

Well, actually it can work if they're installed in separate databases too, provided the MySQL user of the SMF database has the right to access both databases.

Yet, your error doesn't seem to have anything to do with that actually.
Please note that there are two converters on this site's Downloads > Converters area, for each version of vBulletin: one to SMF 1.1.10, and one to SMF 2.0 RC2. What SMF version do you have installed, and what converter are you trying to use?
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.
