Sorry but.. I want to start doing the incremental up dates.  but since I'm using a custom theme.. I will need to do those manually correct?  in the /Themes/default/index.template.php     Since it shows Test failed?

Also with doing these incrementals.. it shouldn't mess up  any of my mods right?

Just worried.. that's why I'm still sitting on 1.14  ;D

Just because you are using a custom theme doesn't mean that you have to install the patches manually.  Normally the security patches do no break mods or the custom theme.  Take a backup of your forum files after installing each patch in case you have an issue.

Good luck with the upgrade and be sure and post here to let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply Jim.  it's time I get this done..

I only asked this because on my first attempt from 1.1.4 to 1.15 I got the
/Themes/default/index.template.php     Test failed

So I was wondering.. I can run it? but Have to make the edit to my Theme ( I'm using) index.templete.php Maunaly?

JimM

Keep in mind that check is trying to install it into your /Themes/default/index.template.php.  You may not need to add those edits to your custom theme.  You do need to add them manually into the default if it shows a fail or you may get more and more fails.  Also keep in mind that the 1.1.4 theme that you are currently using may have some issues if it uses things that may have been changed in one of the updates.

O boy.. ;D  SO what would you suggest I do..

trial and error.  one update at a time

JimM

If it was me, I would use the large upgrade and go straight to 1.1.10.  You would have to re-install all your mods though.

If you got with the patches, be sure and clear the error log each time and make sure everything is working before moving on to the next one.
