Can not instal every packages

I`m newbie here. Please help me and solve my problem. Great Thanks if there are good helper....
My problem is really simple I think but I can not solve this myself...
I`m using SMF v1.1.10 and I`m using subdomain for my forum....
Every time I install the packages[ mod and avatars ], it`s always fail and appears the error messages like this :

This error is due to some configuration on your host's server, which apparently doesn't allow you to perform the operation.

Are you on a free host? Might be worth checking if they allow you to install mods, or they forbid it.
