Making Recent Topics thinner?

Hi

Is there a way that I can take the default MOS_SMF_BRIDGEv3[1].14stable recent topics module and make it fit nicely in the right hand column on my main page www.pchelpforum.com underneath the Login/Register module?

I had one from Mambohacks that looked nice (with bullet images too) when I used it but now I have changed to the MOS_SMF_BRIDGEv3[1].14stable it only throws up MySql errors.
