Look at the top of this subforum ,the upcoming bridge wishlist...

There i inquire for a slightly more easy upgrade + checking if one has the current version via admin panels and backends

to check the most recent version for SMF, one has to have the mod installed in a package server...  And to do mambo auto-checks is much more complicated...

neither form of notification is supported by mamboforge, which should be the sole distribution point for the bridge in order to keep everything centralized.


Gianni...   yes, extracting the files form the ZIPs and overwriting the appropriate files works just fine as an upgrade.
MOS_SMF.php was updated, but the mod itself was not, so there's nothing to apply in the package manager, just copy the MOS_SMF.php...
