Removing SMF Copyright...

I'm trying to get in contact to whom it may concern, and not quite sure how to do that. I want to remove anything and everything linking to any other site on my forum. I'm not asking to remove these for free of course, I'm willing to pay SMF a percentage of the monthly revenue my site generates. If i can remove the links and SMF copyright at the bottom of the site, please let me know how, and who to get a hold of in order to do this legally.

Not only is it illlegal, its free source,

I believe in sharing. If copyright is removed there should be a way to prevent the software from working.

Fair dos to the member who asked, how many actually ask?

Its the same with themes...adhere to the copyright, paying into the many theme clubs does not make it your work.

If the copyright is removed, an error is added to the error log and a large warning informing the users that it is the case. Like all measures, it's possible to get around - but not particularly trivial.

As I never knew that it means I never even try to remove SMF or any other copyright.

Yes, that was put in place to notify those who have removed it on accident or didn't know better, and to hinder those that do know better and tried to anyway.

Does the topic author need further assistance with this issue? Not sure as he never replied.

Its done with now, the copyright can't be removed.
