Web Based backups failing

As a board admin is there a way to download a backup when the web based utility is failing/timing out within SMF?

I don't have sitewide admin powers, just board admin.

I tried the java utility with no success.. is there something else available?

Welcome to SMF.

If you only have admin access to the forum and the backup from the Forum Maintenance menu fails then AFAIK there is no way to backup the database or forum files without FTP access or host control panel access.  Sorry.
