The error of not fixing an error in smf_1-0-3_UPGRADE

He's trying to be a problem and stealing other people's topics;
this will surely lead to a temporary ban if he keeps it up.

Simple Machines is happy to bring you the latest update to SMF.
As always, it contains some bugfixes.
While most of the changes are minor, one of the fixes is important.
We strongly suggest that you upgrade to this version,
because it's more stable and secure.

What's changed:

• fixed a few minor issues
• updated the URL to the lacnic whois server

• fixed "notify of replies" getting turned off accidentally

• database error emails weren't always or often sending
• a few theoretically possible security related issues were tightened down

As always, we would appreciate if you give us constructive feedback
about this release, as well as bug reports.

The "smf_1-0-3_UPGRADE" does not fix

the ~"Notify of replies" getting turned off~ bug..

although it has been fixed occasionally in "smf_1-0-3_INSTALL".

"smf_1-0-3_UPDATE" (as well as _UPGRADE) ignore the error similar to..

as [Unknown] ignore gri.


Until the smf_1-0-3_upgrade(/_update) will be fixed

they should be surely announced to be prohibited

and replaced with smf_1-0-3_install package..

with the backup/restore of the users' database.


May I request a feature
that both current and previous versions of SMF
would have their releases with the fixed errors

along with the releases numbers
and truthfull fixed(/not fixed) errors list
having been included inside the distributing package..

prior to being banned ?

Yes, there is such an error.

But where is the line in the changelog.txt file
with the last date of real fixing of the error

in 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.3 ?

Do you think it was fixed there ?

Be sure it is not fixed in SMF 1.1 Beta 2.
