Problems with permissions

I am having problems with setting permissions. If for example I set the permissions so that the forum members can view a certain topic, e.g. General Discussion, then this user can modify and even delete etc. messages I posted in this board. 
If I take away the permission then the user cannot see the board, here General Discussion.    

Something is going awfully wrong and I do not know how to solve the problem. 

Please help me !!

The problem is not a problem anymore.   
I now know what the issue was. 
The main issue was me being too tired and also impatient in
a way. 
I promise, will never happen again.
