Lite/Optimized SSI

I have a problem with server load when site traffic is heavy, especially when i use SSI. My site is heavily dependant on SSI (the security, and parse bbcode). I'm thinking to make 'light' version of SSI (only load user data and a few basic functions), but I dont really understand how SSI.php works..

anyone can help me on this? any hint or help page or maybe sample would be cool.

Depends really on whether you need the lite version to actually load the current user's data or not, and exactly what you are using.
