Cross linking Google Maps and a posted message

I would like to have the ability to click on the marker on a Google location map and goto the message thread in the forums it refers to. And also a tab in the message thread that takes me to the Google map.

Does such a mod  exits?

A tab in the message thread is easy enough, create a new page using any of the mods that give you new pages (most of the portals, plus Custom Pages, Bakers Dozen and others), plonk an iframe on it, pointing at Google Maps.

As for Google Maps... I think you can assign links to points on the map but really that's a question to be asking Google Maps.
