I hope you created a backup.  This may be recoverable even if not, but the upgrader is meant for YaBB SE 1.5.1 or higher.  You need to upgrade if you're using an older version.

I meant Yabbse 1.3.

Can I not modify the structure of the database to add the field an move on in the upgrade?
Or should I do a complete install as if new?

Daniel D.

You've to upgrade to 1.5.1 and then convert it to SMF.

I tried upgrading to that version and there were problems there.

It is gettting old and there seems to be a problem every time.

It looks like scrapping the old completely and installing the most current version may be the least time consuming and less hair pulling event.

Well, what have you tried to upgrade and what problems have you had?  Some of us used to write or support YaBB SE and its upgraders, so we can help.
