Sorry in advance if I put this in the wrong forum.. :)

I just started up a norwegian community, and I have a couple of questions.. I've installed 2.0 RC2.

1. Like here at this comminuty, I'd like to have a menu at the top right, instead of the SMF-logo, with links to other places.. where in the admin panel can I change that?

2. I'd like to install google analytics to the community, and I understand that I need to install some kind of package? Where do I find that, and how do I upload it to my community? I'm a bit used to reading php, html and css, if that helps..

3. Is there an online manual I can present my members to, where there's a explanation of all the bb-codes?

I'm sure that I have more questions, but these are the immediate ones. Thanks so much for your help in advance, this is a great community :)

Oh, I forgot the most important one  :o

I have trouble with the time-set.. First of all, it shows the wrong time when a member has registred, and the time (sorry, bad english..) is like 07.15 in the evening, and I'd like it to be 19.15.. how?

If you want, make me an admin, and if you email me how you want it set up, I will do it, then make myself a nonadmin after..
PM me if you want me to do it!

If you want me to, I can do this!

http://docs.simplemachines.org, for one!

MariMarita

Thankyou, but I'm naturally sceptical to make strangers admins.. hope you understand :)

I found this;
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse

But it doesn't help me much.. maybe there's a thread on this forum that helps me step by step how to set it all up? Like "click here, paste this" and so on..

Just a admin with everything but server administration, but if you don't want to make me an admin, I can't really help...

KensonPlays

What mod, it could not show the parse because part of the URL is missing...

MariMarita

I think I have found the answers to the analytics-thing in another thread :)

Yes, I'd still like to know how to get a text-menu instead of the logo - I actually just need one link for the blog of the forum. Like the menu at this community, where it says "home - community - download" etc..

Try portamx's blog: http://portamx.com/spage,download.pmxblog/
You will need to register and log in to view the download, and you can look at http://www.kcmartz.com/ and look at the blog system, I am using it. Sub tab under "home"

Mick.

Just add this:

<a name="" target="" classname="" class="" href="http://yourlinkhere">Blog</a>

Replace "htp://yourlinkhere"  with yours.

KensonPlays

Well, if they wanted a blog that looked like the forum, that would work!

Mick.

Heres another with 4 links.  Replace as needed.

<a href="http://yourlink">link</a>&nbsp; <a href="http://yourlink">link</a>&nbsp; <a href="http://yourlink">link</a>&nbsp; <a href="http://yourlink">link</a><br>

It looks like this:  link  link  link  link

Thankyou, that was what I meant (why would I have to download some program? I already have a blog up and running (WP), the only thing I need is a link from the forum to the blog.)

BlueDevil, could you guide me to where in the adminpanel I would have to place the linkcode - or would I have to go directly to some header-file or something? :)

Also you could have a portal and make a block and make it easily viewable on the top, left, right, bottom of each page to get more viewers, that is if you want...
