can't members integrate facebook account with smf cos it is only me as the admin that sees the link "integrate forum account with facebook" while other members sees "facebook connect" when logged in

they would only see facebook connect if they already integrated or registered via fb... clicking facebook connect will take them to the facebook features.

only users that have not integrated (or registered) with FB will see the integrate option

Thanks man for this great app. Everything worked perfectly first 1 hour after installation.

However, I have a little issue. Have not been able to connect to Facebook

I Use SMF version RC4.

Installation was ok with no errors and I have double checkd all  settings to ensure they are correct.

I cannot connect and when I click on INVITE FRIENDS I get this error message:

Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: 601: Parser error: unexpected ')' at position 70. thrown in /home/aidniger/public_html/forum/fbc/facebook.php on line 497

Counting on you as usual.

ALL CAPS IS NOT NECESSARY..... WE CAN READ lower case just fine

Check to see if you have the mod in maintenance mode.

Hey guys. I am running SMF 1.1.12, and wanted to get FB connect running on my site.

It seems to work a treat on the default theme, but unfortunately never installed on the custom theme. So I went over to the manual install instructions, and made the changes listed under index.php and index.template.php.

I now get a template parse error, any suggestions on how it can be fixed?

Below are my attached index.php and index.template.php, just add .php to the file.

remove the changes you made manually to index.php and let me know if it works.

Template Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

It appears that didn't fix it. =/

Maybe related, I found this error log earlier on:

Quote
[28-Jan-2011 12:37:52] PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected T_ECHO in /home/theblank/public_html/forums/Themes/Actualism12/index.template.php on line 82

I tried adding ?theme=1, but without success.

I will disable pretty_URL's and then try again.

Oh right, I must have missed that.

Well, I still get the same error after turning off URL rewritting, but I guess I will let it rest now.

Thanks. :)
