ok everything works out well for me the whole intergration worked just fine but i got a problem

if i share and like boards the topic and the post text become very big
i ended up removing it from the display.template.php
if i manually alter it again (put the code back in there ) it starts to get big again

what can i do about that ?

It went to the facebook screen where I allow the access, but then nothing happens. When I go to the facebook page to login, it jsut times out with that.. ^

Still having same issue.

When I click on the integrate button, it gives me a window to sign in my Facebook account. I sign is successfully, but when I click connect the window closes and I get :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /homepages/46/d274007555/htdocs/fbc/fbmain.php on line 7

I can attach the file if you need.

@NaYa You must put show_facebook() function to index.template for every theme.

I dont want ,i installed this MOD on my default theme and also in other themes ,with out any erros.

I dont like code edit every time ,

And also there is no such a great support from this MOD supporter (yaah sure this is my complaint )

Just to let you know I am now using the default core theme, and have removed all other packages from the forum, so theoretically this is a fresh install of  SMF 2.0 RC3

im sorry but i do have a life you know
 if you dont like the support then dont use the mod simple
i do work and do try to provide as much support as possible just most nights i am so tired that i dont feel or wont to code/support

Hello Sleepy Arcade,

Do you think it possible I have done something wrong on the facebook application, I am inexperienced in using facebook apps, and if other people have this tool working then it may be me who is doing something wrong.

I really do want to use this mod, I just viewed it on the site you have in your signature, and it sure is great. I also removed the 1.04 beta and tried 0.2 but was getting error messages with that too, so I think it is something I am doing wrong rather than a scripting error

at the moment im not too shore what is you connect url and what else did you do to the app?

out of curiosity what is your php version?

im just intaling on a test site now to see if i can replicate this error

I have two different versions of smf, the first is the main one, the second being just a test site that I work on to see how packages look and feel before I try to upload them on my main site, to ensure that there is no major issue with them that will kill my forum LOL


in facebook I have placed the connect url to show as http://www.gayswansea.com/portal which is the url where my test forum is located

ok i think it may be your php version cos i use php5 and connot replicate this can you ask your host to update your php version? they should do it for you

ok so now I am using php 5.2.13

now when I press the integrate with facebook link I get to the next page and I get the sync forum with face book, i click that button and then it waits a few moments and then I get this error

I just tried again and it went through

now all I need to do is try and work out how to get it to work in the theme I use LOL

got it working fine now in the theme that comes with smf 2.0 rc3

but it errors in two parts on the theme I use. which is "5th Theme RC2"
