I just had to uninstall this mod it totally crashes everything and removes all stylesheet formatting. Onlyskin theme seems to work with is the smf default skin theme. I tried it on every skin other than that one and it crashed my whole forum and I couldnt even use the forum until I uninstalled the face book connect.

here is the error I got on every single skin theme when I tried to use them. by the way I don't want to remove my portal blocks to use this.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function show_facebook() in /home/justkind/public_html/Sources/PortalBlocks.php  on line 225
This had been fixed in the lastest update. Did you download the lastest version of the mod?

I downloaded this file today       SA_FBConnect_0.2.zip and used this one, so if this is suppose to correct that error it is not because I just ran it again and same thing happened.

it is cos you need todo some custom edits for your theme

if you add this

Code: [Select]
function show_facebook()
{
    global $settings, $user_info, $context, $txt, $modSettings;

    if ($context['user']['is_logged'] && !empty($modSettings['fb_enable']))
    {
        if (!empty($user_info['fbname']))
            echo '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/facebook.png" alt="'.$txt['fb_title'].'" /> <a href="#" onclick="javascript:fbLogincheck(); return false;">'.$txt['fb_title'].'</a>';
        else
            echo ' <img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/facebook.png" alt="'.$txt['fb_title'].'" /> <a href="#" onclick="javascript:fbLoginsync(); return false;">'.$txt['fb_integrate'].'</a>';

        echo'<br /><br />';
    }
    elseif (!empty($modSettings['fb_enable']))
        echo'<a href="#" onclick="javascript:fbLogin(); return false;"><img src="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zB6N8/hash/4li2k73z.gif" alt="" /></a>';
}

before // The main sub template above the content.

the error will go away

So to use this mod I have to edit every single theme. Also I do not know anything about editing templates in SMF so I guess I have to say thank you for your assistance, but won't be able to use this because I use about 7 skin themes and I don't want the members having problems.

sorry, but I absolutely do not understand this at all. Will remove the facebook and perhaps use a software I understand. I don't get this software at all.

You have to edit index.template.php for each theme. Just copy the code and paste it into that file for each theme.

Only problem I had is that I use email activation for registration and I couldn't find a way to allow them to input their email when registering.  If this is possible than this mod is one of my favorites.

This mod does pull email from Facebook.

Oh I know, but if the user denies access to their email it won't pull it over.

Great mod, its working as intended. Only problems is with these names, Name_numbers, i dont know would it give some error if we had duplicated names, but anyway thx for mod. I am using it on my forum here

http://www.ssefbl.org/forum

Hi, thanks for this mod, I love the idea of what its about.

Question though: Under Share Boards, I have all but one admin level forum selected as "shared".
In my forums I see at the top right of the thread, the "F-Share" logo and if I click on it, it creates a post under my Facebook account on my wall.. what I expected to see, is the thread copied to the wall, but it merely puts the Website Name (or Facebook App name?) and the URL to my website in the wall posting. If thats all it's going to post, whats the point of the f-share button on each thread and the permissions under the Share Boards. Am I misunderstanding the purpose of these settings and Share button, or do I have something possibly not set right?

thanks, Mike.

I have problem something my linked not work. I know aware hard to rough fix on match link.  How It is complex... Really
