anti spam

HiAll,
I have a separate website on the same server as my forum - not connected to the forum at all.
I want to add anti spam questions to my (joinus.php) form - is there a method to add the (rc2) anti spam to my php form on this different (non SMF) site?

I have added recaptcha but getting this error
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /my/site/public_html/mailit.php on line 4
this is line 4 -
$privatekey = 6xAvAAB3_yJ9JzA;

Any ideas what is wrong??
I did take out the quotes " "
