Hiding a forum area from other user groups

Hello

I need to hide a category or area from normal users. Only users that are administrators or that belong to a certain group can see it and post there. Is that possible? I didn't find anything from permissions settings.

open boards in admin. then click modify for the board you want to change and uncheck the groups you don't want to see it. then click modify at the bottom.

Ok thanks. I was thinking that it would be in the permissions and that modify would just change some settings.
