Aaron

Hi all,

I was hoping my next blog post would be on a very positive note, but unfortunately, this is not the case. For health reasons, I have decided to resign from my position as developer here.

Over the past four years, my health hasn't really been excellent, and now the time has arrived that I can no longer afford to just keep things as they are. Realising this, I am taking action now, by taking some very drastic measures, one of which being resigning from my position here. :(

Initially, I wanted to hold out at least until 2.0 had gone gold, but like I said, I can no longer keep this up and really need to choose for myself for a change.

While I realise this probably comes as a surprise to most of you, I have good faith in the rest of the team and think 2.0 will go gold before you know it. :)

All the best,
Aaron

Wait! 2nd April Fool's Joke.. :(

Get well soon! One more down. Swine flu is passing on really quickly!

Arantor

I'm sorry to hear this, Aaron, but as ever real life - especially when it affects your health - has to come first.

If you don't return around here, take care, all the best and thank you for all your efforts with SMF :)

As SleePy said, you will truly be missed. Thank you for all of the time and effort you've put into this project, and may life bid you well. :)

You will truly be missed, thanks for all your hard work and bring the project what it is today, Aaron.
"There is no god, and that's the simple truth. If every trace of any single religion were wiped out and nothing were passed on, it would never be created exactly that way again. There might be some other nonsense in its place, but not that exact nonsense. If all of science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again."

Aaron, while I knew this was coming, I'm really sorry to see it happen.  You have been a big part of our team for a long time (even when you had left for a while) and we'll miss you tremendously.  Take care of your health, and hopefully when things are better, you'll find the time and desire to return.

Doesn't seem unprofessional at all, to me. I'm sure everyone on the team is like family, and giving hugs to each other is what families do ;)

SoLoGHoST

Definitely, your health and family should always come first!  Good Luck and best of health to you!
