Hi I'm testing with Ver2 RC3, in my old version 1.1.11 I had a button to ad a Flash movie.
And there was a mod to replace that by a youtube bbcode.
Is that ommited for version 2.0 or is ther a mod also?

Het Bosje

Hi Kat,

You probably think I'm a pain in the neck, but after installation is there some configuration to do?

casp3r

Nope - as far as I can remember. Just create a post and add the link to the youtube video. Click 'Post' and the video should appear embedded in the post.

You don't get a button. Just add the url for the video under the line you have added and click post.

No I dont think its nice.
In 1.1.11 I had the flash button
And when you installed AEVA, the button created the bbcode and there you had to paste the link.
The result was

embedded in the text.
Thats nice don't you agree?

Please, don't PM me for support unless invited.
If you don't understand this, you will be blacklisted.

Het Bosje

Yep, but did you see the warning?
It is deprecated and not advised to install.

shane is my name

[Im just trying to help out]...
I just installed aeva a few days ago.. at first I was lookong for the bbc button also.. but you don't need a button anymore... It still is embedded.. like you request...  the difference is that you do not have to click a button anymore.. you just paste the link.. it embedds automatically (just like it does in your example that you just posted)...

see the attached...  The link to the youtube video was just pasted into the post, and aeva automatically embeds the actual video...

Het Bosje

OK, thats great I noticed, but I want to give my users a button, they are used to such a button in 1.1.11

thanks for the feedback, but i think I stay wit 1.1.11 for a while.

kat

They'll soon get used to it.

They're not dumb. :)

Het Bosje

Ohhhh you should know.
They are lazy, perhaps I've made them.

kat

Make an announcement, or send a newsletter.

Then, if anyone complains, just say "Well, I told you. what are you, dumb?"

;)

TheListener

There are 3 ways of doing this.

3 ways and 2 mods!!!

The two mods are the Youtube bb code button which will still work despite being noted as non supported.

Mod number 2 is Aeva which gives you a whole gallery and the youtube function as mentioned previously.

Hang on that'sonly 2 mods.

The 3rd way is by creating a how to section for your forums members with instructions on how to use the various functions in the forum.
