phpBB to SMF

Hey,

Complete newbie here, lol

I downloaded SMF and was messing round with it last night, I have decided I am going to stick with it however I need convert my old boards (phpBB 2.0.7) into SMF but I can't find the converter.

Could someone point me in the right direction please ?

Right.

Just downloaded the converter, placed it into my ftp folder and ran it however it returned this error.

You need to make sure you're either using the same MySQL user account for both SMF and phpBB or that they're installed on the same database.

It is in the SMF Folder and I have read that and did it to the letter

Still not working now.

Am beginning to think if I have the right folder selected for phpBB. Where does this normally get installed??

You see I didn't create this site, I bought it from the Previous Owner because he does not have the time to maintain it anymore.
