No Packageserver available after SMF-Install

i just installed a 1.1.11 Forum.

But the Package-manager won´t find packages...

Mmm, that could be a hosting issue but you don't need package servers.

Just go to the modification site, download the ones that you like and work in your version.

Upload them from your computer (they have to be in .zip format) to the package -> download package.

Click install if you have a custom theme then you might have to do manual edits.

Right, i could install it via Download...
But i want to know why i can´t use the packagemanager.

Well, maybe your host blocked it somehow? For example, I can't install SMF from express install in my VPS because  the server couldn't download the files from SMF servers.

It is very possible that your host has disabled outgoing connections, preventing connection to the simplemachines.org servers. Can you view the latest news in the admin area?

Both of you have been answered by his last post showing the recent packages... It can grab data, evidently..
