If you use: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php, you get the forum front page.

If you add an action to call a script and use: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=unread, you will go straight to all unread posts

And if you use http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=unread;all;board=9.0, you will load all unread posts in General English Support.

Is it possible to add these calls together too, say, load all unread posts in News and Updates (board=1.0) and General English Support (board=9.0) and if so how is it done?

That didn't pick up the specific boards, I got all unread, 297 pages. I switched the numbers to lowest first and I got 61 pages, promising, but then clicking on the 2 to view the second page it lost the board selection and loaded page 2 of 297, back to the all.

If you take out the all - http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=unread;boards=1,9

Page 2 loads as http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=unread;start=20 again loosing the board selection.

Actually, the link does work.

Probably you get 297 page of topics because you haven't read them yet.  In those boards of course.
Look at the "provenience" of the topic listing in the search result. It should be "General English .." or "News". Or whaterevr board you chose.

Tip: Click on "Mark all read" on the main page, and try again the link tomorrow.

Yes, I am a bit behind in my reading  but it was from all boards i.e it contained mambo bridge posts, which is board 44. I and french etc. the ones I don't want to read or wade through when I select unread.

WFM, although you're right the pagination is (probably) broken currently.  I've gotten that list under 2 pages .

So I'm lost here.
I fail to see where is the problem.
Frankly, clicking on [Unknown]'s link I get a page showing post  only for "General English Support" and "News". Really, there are no other boards. Changing the numbers in the link I can get whatever board I want, and only that one.

    It really works as it should, over here.

coudl be a bug?

What I am attempting to do is construct a bookmark that will load the 'unread' posts that may be of interest. It isn't only those two forums I'm interested in, but knowing the syntax I could then experiment.

The number of boards it will load seems to be limited to 2 and as [UNKNOWN] said, pagination is 'broken'
