Problem with permission denied

Hello,

Can anyone help with an error message I am getting installing Mambo-SMF Bridge?

When I install the mod SMFMamboMod_1.3.1a.zip, I get the following message:

2: copy(/hsphere/local/home/stevebut/getmorejoboffers.com/Forum/index.php~): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /hsphere/local/home/stevebut/getmorejoboffers.com/Forum/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 1307

I have set the permissions on both files to 777, but it makes no difference.

Can anyone suggest how to fix this?
