The temp directory inside Packages keeps disappearing!


Adding that stops the error, but Packages are saying that they've installed, but they're not.


I'm still checking stuff....

Oh Gr8 Gun, I'm thinkin there are some errors in Forum now So.....

and I would also like to know WhaT magic y0u did.

There were some old files left over from an earlier installation of ezportal (I think it was) still lying around, and some references to it in other files.


I cleared those out, which was the time-consuming bit, and reset some permissions.


I made a "temp" directory, inside packages, too. That has to be writable, obviously.


For some reason, that bugger kept disappearing!


There's a mod to stop that happening, on the mod site. I'll try and dig it out, for you.


I can't figure-out why the Simple Portal thing's not showing in admin, I'm afraid.


I checked all the edits and they're fine.


Maybe uninstalling it and reinstalling it might sort that out.

I'd leave it as it is, for now, if it's working OK.


If it starts playing-up, again, a reinstall might be a good idea.


Or, just get the install archive, dearchive it and upload everything except settings.php and install.php.


You'll have a virgin forum, pretty-well. All you'll need to do is install the mods, again.
