About attachments folder

Is there will be a problem if there are more than 100,000 attachments in one folder?
isn't it too slow to listing or control these files?
maybe one years's attachments in one folder will be better than this?

No, not at all really.  You can have an unlimited amount of attachments in 1 folder and this shouldn't really have any effect on the speed at which the attachments show, or performance, since this is coming directly from the database.  That is, the hash name of the attachment file is coming from the database table {db_prefix}attachments.
