Problem with Membergroups

Hi everyone, I'm hoping for a little help here. I'm sure it's an easy fix but I don't see how to make this work. I own an Android modding site and I created a custom user group called Developers. I set them to be in this user group but in their own board I set them as a Moderator (just for their section) and their membergroup in the forum shows as Moderator. Is there a way to override this so that they would show up as a developer, be a mod of just their section, AND have mod permission?
