Sorting by User Profile information

I'm new to coding, but is there a way to have user profile info like location, custom title, or gender appear as sortable columns under the member list area?

In 1.0, this is difficult.  In 1.1, this will be much easier .

Any update on being able to add location to member list for sorting?  need to send emails by state
