Is there a way to change the search function work the whole website?

I'm assuming that your website is more than just a forum, yes?

You want the search to cover the whole site AND the forum, yes?

Have you tried something like this?

http://www.google.co.uk/custom?domains=http://www.simplemachines.org

[ɔɔɔɔɔɔuɥoɾ]

Instead of custom search you could use "Adsense for Search" make yourself some $$$ at the same time lol
