^^ how do I get my ranks to show at the bottom like those?

CapadY

I suppose these are just membergroups. So, create membergroups and add members to these groups.
Please, don't PM me for support unless invited.
If you don't understand this, you will be blacklisted.

I think he/she means like we have, here, on our board index.

Is that a mod?

In the ACP: Configuration -> Current Theme.

Scroll down to a line that says: "Show group key on board index". Check the box. Click the 'Save' button.

Thanks, excaliburj!!

That doesn't work on my forum. I have members with several group lables and only the first one shows with or without that box being selected and saved.

Hey K@ like you have under your nic is all your titles, I'd be interested in how to make that happen too :)

Another new lesson for me today. Thanks for the tip.

If you go (in ACP) to Members -> Membergroups -> Edit Membergroups and click to modify one of these additional membergroups that don't show, can you confirm that 'Visibility' (halfway down the form) is set to 'Visible' in the dropdown"?

Yes all my members groups are set to visible

This does seem to be a different question than the OP asked.

And I believe that the functionality you're looking for requires a mod (Stars and Badges). But as that's not been updated since RC1, it may take some effort to get it to work with the current RC.

Here on this forum, you're seeing the primary membergroup + a post count based membergroup (and any Personal Text entered via the profile). I don't believe that it shows additional membergroups (if there are any), though.

Under K@ nic

  • Support Team Mentor
  • Support Specialist
  • SMF Super Hero
  •
    These are membersgroups yes?

I believe that 'Support Team mentor' is a Personal Text or Custom Title and not a membergroup.

Support Specialist is a membergroup and it comes along with the graphic.

SMF Super Hero is, I believe, a post-count group and is due to K@'s 14k+ posts (also denoting the need for K@ to get a real life ;) ).

I believe membergroups need a special color in order to be seen on the BoardIndex.

I'm having the same problem, "Show group key on board index" is on however it only shows "Regular groups" and none of the "Post count based groups"

Not the same problem. This option will only show regular groups.

I might be wrong but I remember wanting to do this as well after seeing it on another forum with the option that you guys pointed out in the topic, but it only shows the membergroups of members who are currently active. Won't show "admin" if an admin isn't online for example. That's what I can recall, but I might be wrong.

xenovanis

You're right, I remember that. Must have been quite a while though.

Have you checked the Tips and Tricks board?

I went and looked at my 1.1.11 version of the forum and it was done with this mod "Membergroup Color Legend II.2"

It would give u the option of what group and in what order, I new I used to do it somehow.  However this mod won't work on the newest SMF so It looks like I'm SOL  :(

"Membergroup legend display arrangement. (Must be separated by comma. i.e. 1,2,8,7,6,5,4)
